When you are using a vaping device, whether for pleasure or to help you stop smoking, you will need to keep it clean to help make the experience a pleasurable one. It is a simple task to clean your vaping device, and you will need to take it apart into its different pieces, which are as follows:

  • Drip Tip
  • Tank Lid
  • Tank
  • Coil
  • Tank Base
  • Battery

Keeping your vaping device clean will help to keep it tasting fantastic and ensure the flavours remain crisp and fresh. Below are some tips to help you get started cleaning your sub-ohm vaping device and keep your e-liquids tasting delicious and enhance your vaping experience.

When To Clean Your Vaping Device

Ideally, you will clean your vaping device every time you switch vape juice flavours, but this is not always practical. You will want to give your vaping device a quick clean at least once a week and a more thorough cleaning about once a month. The longer you leave it without cleaning your vaping device, it can start affecting the taste of your e-liquids and ruin the overall experience. Now that you know when you must clean your vaping device, it is time to start.

Taking Apart Your Device

You will want to disassemble your vaping device so you can get to the components and give them a thorough cleaning. Once you have disassembled your vaping device, you will need some warm water and maybe some dish washing liquid to make the job of cleaning much easier. You can also use alcohol for this task which helps remove any gunk that builds up on your vaping device, and all you do is replace the water and detergent with alcohol. Place the drip tip, tank lid, tank, and tank base in the water, and allow them to soak for a couple of minutes. You can then take a soft brush and scrub each component clean and ensure all residue is removed, before rinsing thoroughly and setting the components to the side to dry.

Changing The Coils

You will need to ensure that the components of your vaping device are 100% dry before reassembling it and filling it up. It is worth replacing the coil in your vaping device while cleaning it, which will help prevent your e-juice from tasting bad. No matter how clean you keep your vaping device, the coils burn out and start affecting the taste of the e-liquids, and when this happens, you can usually notice a burnt flavour. You will want to replace the coil with the correct one for the device and e-liquids you are using and ensure you do it correctly. You must prime your coil by squirting a couple of drops of vape juice on the coil’s cotton and let this soak in before assembling your vaping device. Once your device is assembled, you will need to fill the tank with vape juice and leave it around five minutes before using it, which can help prolong the life of your coils.
